An 8 day experiential social, vegan friendly permaculture and sociocracy course.
Omställning Skärholmen has invited Rakesh “Rootsman Rak” (of Roots n Permaculture), an experienced permaculture teacher from the UK, to help us co-create a vibrant community course for the inhabitants of Skärholmen. This is our first activity starting up a long term engagement around sustainability and resilience in the area and we welcome everyone to be a part of this future work.
The course will give you an overview of the permaculture ethics, principles and approaches to the challenge society faces in this ever changing world. We will learn how to take care of our core needs (e.g. food supply, healthy relationships and strategies for a resilient way of living) without exploiting other people, animals or our planet and its resources. By studying nature, we will learn patterns for creating resilient and abundant systems, which we can apply to our lives.
There will be 15 places available for people who can attend the full 8 days, plus on specified days we can include people who want to be involved but cannot commit to the entire 8 days (these days are marked Open).
This will be a fun collaborative experience during which we will have a good mix of getting to know each other, learning how to work well in groups, how to design as well as some hands on implementation. We will even have a day trip to see some of the things we have learned about in action.
